730 firms · every entry dated on a Monday morning

Not who is best.
Who can come.

Contractors, agronomists, machinery dealers, large-animal vets, merchants and grain driers, each carrying the week it could actually start. In the middle of harvest or a fortnight into lambing there is only one useful question, so it sits at the top of every entry instead of the bottom.

How availability is kept

The date on an entry matters more than the description

01

We print when it was said, because it goes stale

Every entry carries the morning the firm gave us that answer. By the Thursday of a harvest week it can already be wrong, and saying so plainly makes this look worse than a register whose entries never change. Fourteen firms have asked to be shown as free permanently. All fourteen were told no.

02

A firm that is full stays on the page saying so

We do not drop the busy ones to the bottom or hide them until they free up. It loses those firms enquiries in their best six weeks of the year, and three contractors have come off the register over exactly that, one of them after eleven years on it.

03

No booking fee and no cut of the job

The telephone number is on the entry, not behind a form, and we never learn whether you rang. A machinery group offered £45 an introduction across the whole register last spring, which on our own traffic would have been the best part of £60,000, and we would then have had every reason to keep quiet about who was actually free.

04

Through August we stop taking new firms on

Two of us do nothing but ring round for capacity from the middle of July to the end of September, so nothing new gets checked and added in that window. Around forty firms sit waiting each year, and a few of them go elsewhere rather than wait for the autumn.

A tractor and grain trailer waiting at the edge of a field being cut

“Sixty acres of oats still standing, rain due Thursday, and the contractor put a rod through his combine on the Tuesday morning. Every number already in my phone was cutting for somebody else. This told me which four machines inside forty miles were sitting idle that week, and the second one I tried was through the gate by half four.”

Everything above is a demonstration

The business, the listings and the reviews are invented — this page exists to show what someone could put on farmingindustry.co.uk. The domain itself is genuinely for sale.

Domain for sale

farmingindustry.co.uk is available

You are looking at a demonstration, not a real business. We built it to show what this domain could carry — the company, the stock and the reviews are invented.

  1. 1

    Make an enquiry

Tell us who you are and what you would use it for. It costs nothing and puts you under no obligation.

  2. 2

    Agree a price

We reply with a price or consider your offer. Most conversations are settled within a couple of working days.

  3. 3

    Pay into escrow

Funds go to a licensed third-party escrow agent, never straight to us. They hold the money until the transfer is confirmed.

  4. 4

    Take ownership

We push the authorisation code to your registrar. You control the domain, usually within a week; escrow then releases the funds.

The demonstration site is not part of the sale by default — but if you want it, say so in your enquiry and we will include the source.
